- Pneumatics
- This course will investigate the operation of direct and reverse acting controls, air compressors, sizing of valves and dampers, thermostats, auxiliary devices, transmitters, receiver controllers and VAV velocity controllers. The sequential pattern is reinforced with various lab experiments.
- Reciprocating Chillers
- Explore the workings of reciprocating water chillers and items related, such as compressors, hear exchangers, refrigeration circuits, types of expansion devices, Flotronic and TXV, pressure drops, pressure temperature relationships, heat rejection and controls.
- Electrical Installation
- This class covers electrical requirements that specifically relate to work performed by those in the HVAC field. The person performing service and repair or new installation needs to be informed as to regulations that govern all aspects of electrical work to insure a safe and proper installation. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code requirements that specifically apply to all motors and air conditioning equipment can benefit everyone working in the field by helping them easily learn rules outlined in the NEC.
