UA Local 250 Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Training Center

When to apply:
Fridays, 8:00a.m. - 11:00a.m.

Requirements:
1) Minimum 18 years of age

2) High School Graduate - or - Certificate of G.E.D

3) A) Algebra and Geometry - One year (10 credits, High School level) -or- one semester (3units College level) completed with a passing grade.

-OR-

   B) A Certificate of Completion or Associate of Science degree in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration curriculum from a JJATC/JAC approved Community College, Trade or Technical School.

-OR-

   C) Achieve a passing score on a test written and administered by the JJATC/JAC that encompasses Algebra and Geometry. The test may be taken a maximum of two times.

4) Education requirements must be submitted by Official Transcripts.

Deadlines:
1) Applications must be filled out in person by January 30, 2009.

2) Official transcript must be submitted by February 27, 2009.

Selection Process:
Test: Applicants fulfilling requirements by February 27, 2009 will be given a written English and Mathematics exam.
Oral Interview: All applicants who have completed the written test will be scheduled for an oral interview.
Waiting List: Applicants who have completed the testing and oral interview will be ranked according to their combined scores.
Drug Test: Applicants will be required to submit to a drug test prior to being offered an apprenticeship position.
